Dr. Carletta E. Griffin
Founder
A native Detroiter, Dr. Carletta E. Griffin is CEO of Dominion Disability Advocates, LLC. Dominion Disability Advocates is a disability advocacy firm providing representation for clients seeking disability benefits. She launched operations in January 2014 after resigning as an employee with the Social Security Administration. As a nationally certified disability advocate, she represents clients at all levels with Social Security, from initial review through all appeals, to obtain their disability benefits.
The hallmark of Dr. Griffin’s business is delivering compassionate service to those that need it the most. She prides herself on educating her clients, keeping them well informed as they navigate through the bureaucratic process, as it can be long and arduous. She is very passionate about her work and embraces the opportunity to serve as an agent of hope to her clients. What gives Dr. Griffin the most gratification is seeing the quality of life change for many of her clients as a result of her services, as she often serves the most indigent in our communities and considers that a real mission from God.
Dr. Griffin holds a Doctorate of Management and Organizational Leadership. She also serves as adjunct faculty with the College of Business at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. Beyond any scholarly or professional acclaim, Dr. Griffin describes herself as a woman who endeavors to love God with her whole heart, and that guides her faith in Jesus Christ and service. Dr. Griffin is married to her high school sweetheart, Juakemo Griffin, and they have one child.
Jolene Poet
Operations Supervisor
Jolene holds a master’s degree in resource communication, which is a fancy way of saying she is really good at making difficult information easy to understand. She is a mom to two toddlers (who often make appearances during phone calls) and during her free time, Jolene enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
Anna Atherton
Case Manager
Anna brings both passion and dedication to her work, holding an associate’s degree in political science and currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science. She is a proud mother to her beautiful baby boy, Beaux, who inspires her daily. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, and being outdoors, especially when the weather is warm.
Lisa Mann
Case Manager
Lisa Mann is a compassionate advocate for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and those with special needs. Known for her patience and attentive listening, she is dedicated to helping others navigate complex systems and secure the benefits and support they need. She loves her hubby of 34 years, and loves being a mom to her two adult children.
Katie Johnson

Katie has a master’s degree from University of Michigan, has a twin brother and one daughter, and loves her work family and church family. She says her work is the ultimate expression of God’s gifts and purpose in her life.

Prior to serving the clients of Dominion Disability Advocates, Roberta was an engineering project manger for a large telecommunications company. She enjoys people, traveling, family, and friends that are family.

India Phillips is a God-fearing woman. She is a recent college graduate from Tennessee State University. She aspires to one day become a lawyer. She loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
